Fruit Shop in Taipei, Taiwan - John Cain Vagabonding

DAY 422 // Taipei / Fruit

A few months ago while I was in Seoul, Tim and I were shopping for groceries and was shocked to see an average sized #watermelon with a price tag of $25 USD.

[pullquote right]This fruit shop in Taipei had them for less than $2 USD. [/pullquote]

Since #Queena and I were on #YouBikes, we bought just a single watermelon and a few baby plums to try out.

Then we rode back home, carefully not to bruise our pretty fruit.

Realizing I had no knife to cut the #watermelon, I used a plastic spork to make our servings. The inside was bright yellow, I’ve never seen watermelon like that but it was delicious.

The cute plums, not so much.

DAY 421 // Taipei / Routine & Food

[divider invisible]

Looking at the last few posts, its as if SIXVASER is a food travel blog.

[pullquote right]It is not. This is a vagabonding blog… [/pullquote]

A #lifestyle site of a perpetual world traveller. My extended time in #Taiwan has made me a man of routine. Perhaps I need something new. Somewhere different. A fresh #experience. But alas, I’m here now and #food is often the highlight of my days here.

[pullquote right]

With that said, I had a delicious beef and rice dish that fuses #Korean and #Taiwanese styles for dinner with #Queena.

[/pullquote]

Its been a while since I had an adventure, this must be remedied.

Maybe a roller coaster…
